An oval footed trinket box which is bearing the Faberge Imperial Russian silver hallmark Cyrillic characters, and made in the St. Petersburg workshop. During the late 1800s, there were only three senior work masters named Nevalainen, Rappoport, and Wakeva who had their own workshops in St. Petersburg and received in their own rights the Imperial Warrant. The workmaster mark AN is from Antti Nevalainen who was a Finnish clergyman that worked 1885-1917 in Russia. For that reason this piece has the double headed eagle next to Faberge signature and the Greek letter Alpha next to the Zolotnik silver mark. This piece is decorated with diamonds, rubies, and silver. It is adorned with Louis XV Rococo gold and silver foliage swags that have a diamond highlighted in each bow.
