A pair of lounge chairs based on Perriand, Le Corbusier & Jeanneret iconic 1928 “Gran Confort” LC-2.
They are parodies of the original chair designs executed with water pipe and elbows resembling in their framing Mart Stam’s earliest pipe frame chair from 1927..
(The Stam chair is shown in Stuhle Aus Stahl Metallmobel 1925-1940 by Jan van Geest and Otakar Macel published in 1980. p. 112)
Less than 100 examples of these.lounge chairs were manufactured in China in 2017.
Both chairs are labeled Dimensions Furniture Carmel, Indiana Model #1072C dated 3/2017.
The chairs have been recently re-upholstered and are in very good condition.
