Friedlaender is best known for the design of the “halle shape” which ist still in production as a porcelain vase by the KPM Berlin.
MargueriteFriedlaender was student at the Bauhaus under Gerhard Marcks.
She directed the pottery workshop at Burg Giebichenstein, Halle, together with Marcks until 1933, when she emigrated to Holland.
In 1940 she and her husband immigrated to California.
