Spectacular one-of-a-kind curved desk designed by Serge Chermayeff circa 1933 for the BBC building in Manchester, England. This is the original desk that came out of that building.
Mahogany frame. Tubluar copper base with verdigris patina. Copper pulls also with verdigris patina. Three locking drawers on one side, open shelves on the opposite side. Truly unique design, absolutely jaw-dropping form, wonderful scale, and outstanding presence. A rare opportunity to own an investment worthy piece of history by one of the leading architects of the time.
