Fantastic book or storage table from the 1920s/30s. The shape and color initially suggest an Asian origin. According to the previous owner, the table probably originally came from the Czech Republic. She had it valued at a renowned art auction house in Munich, where she also received the relevant expertise. The table is elaborately crafted and contains Bauhaus influences. Solid construction, all made of solid wood. It has probably been painted over several times. We cleaned, waxed and polished the surface. The book table shows numerous signs of use. You’ll often find fine cracks in the wood and paint chips in various places. All in all, the table is in very nice condition, with a charming patina. By pulling out under the curved cover plate, the storage space can be enlarged. The drawer can also be fully pulled out and used as a serving tray. Height 72cm.

Patina consistent with age and use, Light wear consistent with age and use, Surface has been polished, Der Büchertisch weist zahlreiche Gebrauchspuren auf. So findet man immer wieder feine Risse im Holz und Farbabriebe an verschiedenen Stellen. Alles in allem befindet sich der Tisch aber in einem sehr schönen Zustand, mit einer charmanten Patina.
