Offered is a sleek vintage stainless steel and wood box made in Bogota, Colombia in the late 1980s and labeled “Medina Hnos” on the bottom (the offspring of the Medina family), a firm that sold elegant stainless steel flatware, cookware and serving pieces, as well as decorative objects and accessories.

While it could have been designed as a cigarette box, it’s just as practical as a desk-top box for storing supplies, or as a jewelry box, or a box for storing playing cards.
