Beautiful carving of a young noble man dressed in a frock coat with a waistcoat and wearing a hat with a feather.
The sculpture is carved out of an unusually large pear tree trunk.
It was used in a garden as a fountain figure and is therefore weathered. There is an opening for a pipe going through the body from back to front. It is still visible from behind, from the front it has been closed with a piece of wood.
The young squire was carved in second half of the 19th century in the Veneto region of Italy.
