A highly unusual and very beautiful desert cupboard/ vitrine in mahogany from the Belle Époque period. This elaborate dumbwaiter offers a mirrored back with open shelving, closed storage and display areas, with a wooden lazy-Susan platter, probably for showcasing cakes and pastries. Features fine relief carvings of birds of paradise on turned columns and bottom door panels, as well as the original beveled-glass doors. American, circa 1890-1910. Comes with working locks and keys. Professionally restored in our workshop and French polished.
