A very stylish German Bauhaus studio ceramic vase decorated in black and brown glazes by Heiner Hans Körting (1911-1991) and dating from 1940-50. The vase of tall cylindrical shape has a slightly rounded dome shaped top with a short narrow funnel shaped neck. The body of the vase is made up a series of vertical grooves which have colored in brown glazes with painted black vertical lines set in between on a natural colored ground. The top and base are colored in brown and the base has an impressed makers mark.
